Annika Joy Quist

Annika became interested in animal rights at the age of eight, when she realized her dinner had started out as an animal not so different from her beloved family dog. After seven years of veganism, she put her Plant Biology PhD at UC-Berkeley on hold to dive headlong into vegan advocacy.
Drawing on her background in life science research, finance, and social impact consulting, she conducts extensive research on the effectiveness and impact of hundreds of organizations in the movement worldwide. In her free time, she enjoys climbing, jigsaw puzzles, and snuggling with her chi-weenie rescue, Ezra.
David van Beveren

David is the Founder and President of Vegan Hacktivists, a global network of vegan technologists building capacity for hundreds of organizations and activists across the animal protection movement using design, development, and data. He also co-founded Violet Studios, manages the FAST network, and moderates the largest vegan communities on Reddit.
In a former life, David led a software firm serving academia, including UCLA, Princeton, and Duke University. David's passion for harnessing technology to help animals is rivaled only by his love for Dr Greger’s Daily Dozen, watching anime, and playing the handpan.
Jim Buckmaster

Denounced on Fox by televangelists, and declared a socialistic anarchist by media moguls, Jim led craigslist to be the most used classifieds in any medium, despite its public service mission, dot org vibe, and staff < 50.
Once homeless, Jim subsisted on a daily food budget of $1. He first went vegan in the 1980s, growing crucifers, sprouting groats, hand-grinding flour, and making tofu from scratch.
Ridiculously tall and known to some as the blueberry king, Jim enjoys eating whole plant foods, mainlining matcha, hiking in nature, and writing the world’s most widely read haiku.
